don't hate, donate

Today I won't be reflecting on my life or my experiences, today I would like to focus on the Cancer Council's PINK RIBBON DAY fundraiser, because my story is nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands of strong women who are being affected by breast cancer everyday. October is raise awareness month for breast cancer, lately I've been so caught up in my world that I've forgotten to give back. Luckily I still have an opportunity to show my support, I ordered PINK RIBBONS to sell at Little Red Pocket and they even gave me an extension til the end of November to sell all the pins to raise funds. It'll be interesting to see how much I can raise, but the amount shouldn't matter, the important thing is that we all get involved. 12,700 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, these numbers are unacceptable and we should all play a role to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

In May this year our uni class came together and ran an event to raise funds for another great organisation, the Very Special Kids foundation provides support for families with kids who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses, they offer medical advice, accommodation and counselling to families that cannot afford it. We raised over $1,500 for this organisation while encouraging physical and intellectual activities☺
The concept was Trivia on Ice - Multiple answer questions were displayed on a large screen and contestants were given 5 minutes to answer each question by skating to each corresponding corner (A,B,C,D).

These organisations focus on issues we all ignore every day, we should all give back at least one day, every year.
Whomever you are, wherever you're from, please choose a charity and donate today, you're money will go very far to help the people most in need.
